Puzzles

Here are my Japanese Geoquizzes. Each correct answer would have earned you one entry in a random drawing to win this smiling Totoro plushy, if the contest had not alreay ended:

(Puzzle 1) 北

My tourist map of Tokyo does not have a compass rose (and it is a little out of date), so I need to get it oriented. Which one of these has north at the top of the map?

(Puzzle 2) 2-6-2, Iriya, Taito-ku, Tokyo

(Example)

I had to find multiple addresses in Japan, which meant learning how the addressing system works. Find 2-6-2, Iriya, Taito-ku, Tokyo on the map below; when you find it zoom in to the largest scale available for maps and you will see an English word written in red letters as in the example on the right (if you haven't panned the map, zoom in as far as you can go to see this example). Send the word that you find as the answser. I have sprinkled in a few additional words to discourage random searching.

(Puzzle 3) Calling All Monsters

I flew from Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (NRT). Before the flight the pilot checked the latest monster conditions (required for all flights to Japan) to find the current locations of Gamera, Gidorah, Mothra, and Rodan. Which monster was on our route? (Click on the placemarks to learn the names of the monsters).

(This one breaks sometimes, if you don't see four placemarks then look at the screenshot).

(Puzzle 4) One View of Mt. Fuji

I stopped at a teahouse to admire the view of Mt. Fuji, 76 km away, at a bearing of 35° from geographic north. What city was I in?
